30th Anniversary Dawn of a Dream
A sell-out crowd of nearly 1,000 guests, adorned with pearls, packed into The Depot to celebrate the 30th Anniversary Dawn of a Dream on Saturday, November 6.
The memorable evening began with an array of fundraising experiences, including a wine pull, jewelry tree, and the very popular “punch board”.
Attendees participated in an exciting live auction featuring fabulous items like a vacation at a Costa Rican casita, ESPN Monday Night Football sideline experience with Michele Tafoya and a family adventure at an authentic Montana ranch. Generous guests also contributed toward the purchase of a confocal microscope, which will help doctors bring cures more quickly from the laboratory to patients. In total, more than $950,000 was donated to support groundbreaking research!
Emcee Jearlyn Steele guided guests through a poignant program that culminated in an energetic performance by American Idol winner Taylor Hicks.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of event chairs Anastasia Hoeft, Mary Holmes and Cindy Olmanson, their steering committee, dedicated volunteers and Martin Bastian Productions, along with the generosity of corporate and community partners, and attendees, critical funding was raised to support our mission to eradicate childhood cancer. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this remarkable evening!
